Moroccan carpets are deeply rooted in regional identity, with each area of the country distinguished by its own weaving techniques, materials, and visual language. From hand-knotted rugs woven in the mountains to flat-woven textiles produced on traditional looms, these pieces reflect both function and heritage.
Understanding these distinctions is essential. Wool quality, knot density, weaving structure, and natural dyes all influence the character, durability, and feel of a carpet. Patterns may carry symbolic meaning, while variations in texture and proportion reveal the hand of the weaver and the context in which the piece was created.
At Bazaar M, carpets are sourced with attention to these details. Selection is guided by your requirements — scale, texture, tone, and intended use — allowing us to identify pieces that are not only authentic, but well balanced, refined, and made to endure.
Our Carpets & Rugs
Crafted in-house, our enduring hand-woven carpets highlight precision and craftsmanship excellence. As artisans, not intermediaries, we provide distinctive, bespoke creations tailored to individual preferences and spatial requirements. Our primary objective is the revitalization of the Moroccan carpet-weaving tradition, coupled with an unwavering commitment to consistently elevate product standards. Aligned with sustainability principles, we actively contribute to fostering social and economic development in the regions with which we collaborate.

Natural Dyes
A select few dye plants are sufficient to achieve a diverse spectrum of colors, and only a small number of individuals have managed to safeguard the ancient knowledge of this process.

Hand-Crafted
Our rugs are entirely handmade. The carpet is a product that is one of the authentic components of our diverse heritage. It bears testimony of the genius of the artisans who concur to its making.

Ancestral know-how
The weaver operates the loom at her discretion and based on her creative inspiration. The woven carpet is the result of unwavering patience and a deep passion for the art of weaving.
The Siroua breed
Within the elevated regions of the High Atlas Mountains perseveres an ancient lineage of diminutive sheep. The exquisite, silky wool derived from this breed is paramount to the distinctive quality of our carpets and rugs. Conversely, in lower terrains, agricultural practices have shifted towards altering the breed to optimize meat production.
